Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Project Planner for the Energy Networks Projects team. The role involves developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules, ensuring alignment with policy, and supporting project managers throughout the lifecycle.

Applicants should have a technical or business degree and experience in engineering scheduling, with strong English communication and a collaborative, detail‑oriented approach. Hybrid working is offered.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Work Breakdown Structures, resourcing, deliverables and links between them.
• Understanding of Schedule Management concepts and practices.
• Experience in scoping and creating project schedules.
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute duties under supervision of Line Manager.
• Record keeping of documentation and results.
• Familiar with project execution and management procedures; participate in client/subcontractor nominations.
• Inform Line Manager on issues and measures taken; propose solutions.
• Use Deltek Connect Business software and MM standards when appropriate.
