Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the technical delivery of multi-disciplinary transportation projects in the UK. You will oversee engineering management on major rail and light rail programs and collaborate with clients and partners to ensure on-time, on-budget outcomes.

You will mentor junior engineers, manage budgets, and drive tender responses while coordinating cross-disciplinary interfaces across local, national and international teams.

Qualifications

• Proven delivery of multi-disciplinary railway and/or light rail design and construction.
• Experience in a technical management role.
• Experience as a CEM.
• Engineering degree qualification.
• Chartered or Incorporated status in core engineering.
• Strong knowledge of UK rail safety standards.
• Proven track record of growing workbank.
• Experience in heading responses to pre-qualification and tenders including pricing.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership of Major Projects and Programmes in Transportation.
• Leadership of engineering design packages for rail and light rail projects through full lifecycle.
• Managing the Engineering Budget and Programme to deliver on time and on budget.
• Acting as Contractor’s Engineering Manager (CEM) on projects.
• Leadership of CDM/CSM compliance.
• Building cohesive design teams with local, national & international resources.
• Co-ordinating cross-discipline interfaces to ensure successful delivery.
• Preparing pre-qualification responses, proposals and tenders.
• Growing the engineering management workbank and identifying new opportunities.
