Job summary

AECOM Swindon invites graduates to join the Rail Project Manager development pathway. You’ll work within multidisciplinary railway teams, gaining exposure across the project lifecycle from planning to delivery and governance.

The Graduate Development Programme provides mentoring, formal training modules, and support toward professional accreditation, with hybrid work options and a mandatory Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a 2:1 (or equivalent) in a related discipline.
• Masters qualification would be advantageous.
• Interest in infrastructure project delivery and rail transportation.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Supporting the planning, delivery and monitoring of railway infrastructure projects.
• Assisting project managers with programme management, cost control and risk management activities.
• Supporting stakeholder engagement and client communications.
• Assisting with project reporting, governance and performance tracking.
• Contributing to the development of project plans, schedules and resource forecasts.
• Supporting multidisciplinary teams in delivering projects safely, efficiently and sustainably.
• Assisting with contract administration and project documentation.
• Developing an understanding of project controls, commercial management and rail delivery processes.
