Job summary

AECOM is seeking graduates for its Graduate Development Programme in rail electrical engineering in the UK. This role offers a hybrid work model and exposure to major railway projects, contributing to design, integration and delivery of electrical systems.

As a graduate, you will work closely with senior engineers, gain cross-disciplinary experience, and pursue chartership with the IET while developing professional and technical skills across the rail sector.

Qualifications

• 2:1 BEng in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• MEng in Electrical Engineering preferred
• Rail modules or experience is an advantage
• Strong technical understanding of Rail/Electrical Engineering
• Demonstrable interest in Rail/Electrical Engineering
• Willing to pursue chartership with the IET
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent communication with clients and colleagues

Responsibilities

• Enroll in Graduate Development Programme and develop skills in a supportive environment.
• Contribute to design, integration and delivery of electrical systems for railway networks.
• Gain experience across a range of rail projects while collaborating with engineers.
• Produce drawings, models and design documentation using BIM tools.
• Ensure designs meet safety standards and promote sustainability.
