Job summary

AECOM is seeking graduates to join the Rail Electrical Engineering team on a fast-track development program in Swindon. You will contribute to the design, integration and delivery of electrical systems to modernise railway infrastructure.

You will gain experience across multiple rail projects, working with engineers from related disciplines, using BIM tools, and aiming for chartership with professional institutions as you grow within a global firm.

Qualifications

• BEng Electrical Engineering 2:1 or higher.
• MEng in Electrical Engineering would be an advantage.
• Rail modules or experience is beneficial.
• Good technical understanding of Rail/Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Enrolment on the Graduate Development Programme and skill development.
• Design, integration and delivery of electrical systems for railway projects.
• Produce drawings, models and design documentation using BIM and industry tools.
• Collaborate with signalling, telecoms and civils to integrate electrical designs.
• Support planning and phasing of electrical construction to minimise disruption.
• Contribute to safety, sustainability and life-cycle aspects of designs.
