Job summary

APCOA is seeking a Senior Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day rail parking operations across multiple sites in the Southern network. The role involves managing frontline teams, ensuring safe, reliable and customer-focused services, and regular travel using a rail pass.

You will develop staff, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with the Contract Manager to drive improvements while maintaining high standards of service and presentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Supervisor, Team Leader, Area Assistant manager or senior operational leadership role.
• Full UK manual driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Experience supporting and motivating frontline teams.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build good relationships.
• A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to support your team.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities across multiple sites.
• Confidence using IT systems, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation and performance of defined sites, owning service delivery, KPIs and standards.
• Coach and develop Civil Enforcement Officers; conduct performance reviews and absence management.
• Plan people, rosters and annual leave to maintain contract coverage.
• Support onboarding and training for new colleagues.
• Carry out regular site visits to maintain high standards of service, customer experience and presentation.
• Monitor operational standards, identify issues and implement improvements.
• Support shift planning and leave cover as needed.
• Work with Contract Manager to resolve challenges and improve performance.
• Ensure services are delivered safely, professionally and to company standards.
• Handle customer enquiries and complaints with a positive experience.
• Maintain accurate records and reports.
