South Western Railway seeks a Rail Operator GPR to help dispatch trains safely, provide up-to-date travel information and assist customers at stations. You will work varied shifts, including early, late, and night duties, while ensuring high standards of service and safety.
You will need a own vehicle, be able to pass medical tests (vision/hearing), and commit to full-time training and flexible rostering across days of the week.

Opportunities to work on rest days or to do overtime could increase your annual earnings. Some Rail Operators earn up to £30,000 pro rata per annum plus regional allowance.

About the job
As a Rail Operator GPR (General Purpose Relief) at South Western Railway, you will be at the heart of ensuring trains are safely and efficiently dispatched and stations are presented to the highest standards. Youwill provide the mostup to date travelinformationforourcustomers and assist them in reaching their destinations safely and on time.

You'll need to be:
Applicants who require a visa must have 6 months remaining at the time of their appointment. Training is full time and you must be able to commit to this.
Working pattern
Our customers need us all day, every day (except Christmas day) and as part of the stations team, you'll need to able to work shifts at all times of the day and on every day of the week.
You will work an average of 37 hours across 5 days per week, however, as a relief, you will be required to work early, lates or nights.
Working through a roster with rotating rest days and a requirement to cover Sunday duties according to business needs.
Early's, lates, nights - 7.24 hours per day.
Earlies startingat 6 AM, lates starting at 2:45 PM and nights starting at 10 PM
