Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited is seeking an experienced Control Room Operator for a busy rail operations environment, providing technical and operational support while trains are in service. The role centers on monitoring live performance, coordinating with Operations, Maintenance and Depot teams, and ensuring timely information is provided to stakeholders.

The position offers a Panama roster with a 5-person team and a clear path to develop from a technical/maintenance background into a Control

Qualifications

Previous experience within the rail industry.
Experience in rolling stock maintenance, train riding or similar rail environments.
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel.
Ability to understand and convey technical fault information clearly to customers and operations teams.
Excellent record-keeping and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Monitor and support the customer Control Room during train service hours.
Act as a key point of contact between Control Room, Operations, Maintenance and Depot teams.
Monitor live ORBITA feeds and respond to technical alerts.
Identify emerging train performance issues and escalate them as needed.
Coordinate in-service train failures and remote investigations using ORBITA, OTMR, CCTV and other systems.
Raise work orders on the EAM system and maintain incident records.
