Job summary

Rullion Managed Services is seeking 4 Control Room Technicians to join a busy rail operation in Basingstoke. You will support the Control Room, providing rapid technical support and remote fault diagnosis to keep trains moving.

Ideal candidates have a strong rail engineering background with EMU knowledge and experience using ORBITA, OTMR, CCTV and EAM. On-site interviewing will take place in Wimbledon.

Qualifications

• HNC or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (desirable).
• Strong EMU technical knowledge.
• Experience using ORBITA, OTMR, CCTV and EAM systems.
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support during train service with Customer Control Room staff.
• Manage and coordinate responses to in-service faults.
• Monitor live ORBITA feeds and respond quickly to issues and alerts.
• Carry out remote investigations using ORBITA, OTMR, CCTV and other available systems.
• Analyse faults and provide detailed technical information and investigation packs to technicians or depot teams.
• Raise and manage work orders using the EAM system.
• Coordinate activities relating to in-service faults and provide rapid technical support to operational teams.
• Support planning activities and ensure accurate technical records are maintained.
• Present clear and practical electrical/mechanical engineering solutions to the customer.
