Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited is seeking a skilled Fleet Engineer to support the maintenance and fault finding on the Class 701 Aventra trains at the depot, ensuring work complies with safety procedures and company processes.

You will join a small technical team, provide systems engineering advice on TCMS, HVAC, propulsion and braking, perform diagnostics, fault resolution and component replacements, and liaise with control room staff to keep trains in service on a Panama roster (7 days on, 7

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical discipline.
Experience in rail maintenance desirable.
Ability to read maintenance manuals and schematics.

Responsibilities

Provide systems engineering advice for vehicle systems.
Serve as point of contact for fault resolution with production and control room staff.
Perform detailed fault finding and diagnostics on mechanical and electrical systems.
Produce solutions for short-term mitigation and long-term resolution.
Attend faulty trains in service and perform component replacements.
Assist in root cause analysis using FRACAS, 8D, PPS methodologies.
Update maintenance/instruction procedures to optimize processes.
Monitor trains in service using Orbita remote monitoring.
Download data from onboard recorders and run diagnostics software.
