Job summary

Amey Ltd in Manchester is seeking an Assistant OLE Engineer to join our Consulting Rail team and contribute to every stage of projects from inception to completion. You will help deliver technically sound engineering solutions in a collaborative environment.

The role supports health, safety and quality while offering development across major rail frameworks in the North West region. We provide a competitive salary, generous pension, 24 days leave, and a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in an appropriate subject.
• Knowledge of rail design processes and procedures.
• Ability to produce or oversee technically sound Rail engineering solutions in line with standards and client requirements.
• Experience with health, safety and welfare in project contexts.
• Professional development towards Incorporated or Chartered status or equivalent license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team producing technically sound engineering solutions.
• Support management and technical delivery of projects from start to finish.
• Prepare and check designs, calculations, drawings and documentation.
• Assist with health and safety practices within the team.
