Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking an MEP Technical Supervisor to oversee mechanical and electrical installations on rail projects nationwide.

You will act as on-site client representative, ensuring works comply with drawings, specifications and regulatory standards while upholding safety and quality. You will monitor testing and commissioning, keep detailed site records, and coordinate with subcontractors and the Construction Responsible Engineer to deliver projects on time and to the required

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Extensive M&E building services/E&P installation, inspection, testing and commissioning experience.
• Strong knowledge of building regulations, standards, and health & safety requirements.
• Testing and Commissioning Qualification (C&G 2391 or similar) and CSCS card or equivalent site safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and inspecting M&E/E&P and SISS installations to ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, and industry standards
• Conducting routine and ad hoc inspections, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Maintaining detailed site records, including inspection reports, site instructions, and progress photos
• Overseeing, witnessing and verifying testing and commissioning activities to ensure system performance meets design intent
• Acting as the link between the Construction Responsible Engineer and subcontractors to ensure smooth coordination
