Job summary

Kier Group plc is seeking an MEP Technical Supervisor to oversee on-site mechanical and electrical installations on rail projects. You will ensure works meet drawings, specifications and regulatory standards, acting as the client’s on-site representative to drive quality and safety.

Based across nationwide sites, you’ll coordinate with the Construction Responsible Engineer and subcontractors, witness testing and commissioning, and maintain rigorous site records to support project delivery.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Extensive experience in M&E building services/E&P installation, inspection, testing and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of relevant building regulations, standards, and health & safety requirements.
• CSCS card or equivalent site safety certification and Testing and Commissioning Qualification (C&G 2391 or similar).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect M&E/E&P and SISS installations to ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
• Conduct routine and ad hoc inspections, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain detailed site records, including inspection reports, site instructions, and progress photos.
• Overseeing, witnessing and verifying testing and commissioning activities to ensure system performance meets design intent.
• Acting as the link between the Construction Responsible Engineer and subcontractors to ensure smooth coordination.

Education
