Job summary

Kier Group plc. is recruiting an MEP Technical Supervisor to join the Rail team on nationwide projects.

The role focuses on overseeing the quality, safety and compliance of mechanical and electrical installations on construction sites, acting as the client’s on-site representative to achieve standards and regulatory requirements. You will monitor, inspect and witness testing and commissioning activities, maintain detailed site records, and coordinate between engineers and subcontractors to

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (from Qualifications section).
• Experience in M&E building services/E&P installation, inspection, testing and commissioning.
• Knowledge of building regulations, standards and health & safety requirements.
• CSCS card or equivalent site safety certification (or similar).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect M&E/E&P and SISS installations to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and industry standards.
• Conduct routine and ad hoc inspections ensuring health, safety and environmental regulations are followed.
• Maintain detailed site records including inspection reports, site instructions and progress photos.
• Oversee, witness and verify testing and commissioning activities to ensure performance matches design intent.
• Act as the link between the Construction Responsible Engineer and subcontractors for smooth coordination.
