Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking an MEP Technical Supervisor to join the Rail team and oversee mechanical and electrical installations on site nationwide. You will ensure adherence to standards, regulations, and design intent, acting as the on-site client representative.

The role focuses on inspections, testing and commissioning, maintaining records, and coordinating with subcontractors to deliver high-quality project outcomes within health and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Extensive experience in M&E building services/E&P installation, inspection, testing and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of building regulations and health & safety requirements.
• Testing and Commissioning Qualification (C&G 2391 or similar) and CSCS card.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and inspecting M&E/E&P and SISS installations to ensure compliance with drawings and standards.
• Conducting routine and ad hoc inspections, ensuring health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Maintaining detailed site records, including inspection reports and progress photos.
• Overseeing, witnessing and verifying testing and commissioning activities to meet design intent.
• Linking the Construction Responsible Engineer with subcontractors to coordinate work.
