Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking an MEP Technical Supervisor to join the Rail team on a nationwide basis. The role focuses on overseeing M&E installations, ensuring compliance with standards, and acting as the client’s on-site representative to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include inspecting M&E installations, coordinating with subcontractors, and verifying testing and commissioning activities. 42 hours per week with some flexibility; sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Extensive experience in M&E building services installation, inspection, testing and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of building regulations, standards, and health & safety requirements.
• Holding a CSCS card and a relevant testing & commissioning qualification (C&G 2391 or similar).

Responsibilities

• Monitor M&E/E&P and SISS installations for compliance with drawings, specs and industry standards.
• Conduct routine and ad hoc inspections ensuring health, safety and environmental regulations are met.
• Maintain detailed site records including inspection reports and progress photos.
• Oversee testing and commissioning activities to verify system performance against design intent.
• Act as the link between Construction Responsible Engineer and subcontractors for smooth coordination.
