Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking an MEP Technical Supervisor to join the Rail team on nationwide projects. The role involves on-site oversight of mechanical and electrical installations, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.

You will act as the client’s on-site representative and coordinate with subcontractors to deliver high-quality outcomes. Responsibilities include monitoring M&E/E&P installations, conducting inspections, maintaining site records, and witnessing

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in M&E building services/E&P installation, inspection, testing and commissioning.
• Knowledge of building regulations, standards and health & safety requirements.
• Has CSCS card or equivalent site safety certification and Testing and Commissioning qualification (C&G 2391 or similar).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect M&E/E&P and SISS installations for compliance with drawings, specs and standards.
• Conduct routine and ad hoc inspections, ensuring HSE compliance.
• Maintain detailed site records including reports, instructions and photos.
• Oversee testing and commissioning activities to verify system performance.
• Act as link between Construction Responsible Engineer and subcontractors for smooth coordination.
