Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking an MEP Technical Supervisor to join our Rail team on a nationwide basis. This role focuses on quality, safety, and compliance of M&E installations on major rail projects, acting as the client’s on-site representative to ensure standards and regulatory requirements are met.

You will monitor installations, conduct inspections, maintain records, and coordinate with subcontractors to deliver successful project outcomes across the UK rail network.

Qualifications

• Hold a technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Extensive experience in M&E building services/EP installation, inspection, testing and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of building regulations, standards, and health & safety requirements.
• Holding a Testing and Commissioning Qualification (C&G 2391 or similar) and a CSCS card or equivalent site safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect M&E/E&P and SISS installations for compliance with drawings and standards.
• Conduct routine and ad hoc inspections ensuring health, safety and environmental regulation adherence.
• Maintain detailed site records including inspection reports, instructions and progress photos.
• Oversee, witness and verify testing and commissioning activities to meet design intent.
• Act as the link between Construction Responsible Engineer and subcontractors for smooth coordination.
