Job summary

VolkerWessels UK Ltd. is seeking a Commercial Manager for the Southern Renewals Enterprise (SRE) to lead commercial strategy across the Buildings Portfolio and drive robust commercial performance on rail projects in the Southern region.

The role involves forming strong relationships with clients and supply chain partners, delivering forecasts, managing risk and capitalising on opportunities while working across offices in Basingstoke, Blackfriars and Gravesend with regular Blackfriars meetings.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior commercial role within rail, infrastructure, construction or a related sector.
• Experience within a Framework/Portfolio environment would be advantageous.
• Strong commercial and contractual management expertise.
• Experience leading and developing commercial teams.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients, supply chain partners and project teams.
• Strong commercial reporting, forecasting, risk management and change management experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to influence, challenge and drive continuous improvement across a programme of works.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial leadership across the Buildings Portfolio, ensuring projects are commercially robust and risks are effectively managed.
• Maximise opportunities by engaging with clients, supply chain partners and project teams.
