Job summary

VolkerFitzpatrick, part of VolkerWessels UK, is seeking a Commercial Manager for the Southern Renewals Enterprise (SRE) within the Buildings Portfolio. You will lead commercial leadership across rail projects, ensuring robustness, risk management and opportunity realisation through a collaborative delivery model.

The role is based across offices in Basingstoke, Blackfriars or Gravesend with regular attendance at Blackfriars meetings. Strong relationship-building and team leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires proven experience in a senior commercial role within rail, infrastructure or construction.
• Experience in a Framework/Portfolio environment is advantageous.
• Strong ability to lead and develop commercial teams and manage risks.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial leadership across the Buildings Portfolio; ensure projects are commercially robust.
• Manage risks, forecast and change management; maximise commercial opportunities.
• Build trusted relationships with clients, supply chain partners and project teams.
• Lead and develop commercial teams in a collaborative, multi-stakeholder environment.
