Mersey & West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is recruiting for a full-time Radiology Appointments role. The post involves 37 hours per week and a rota that includes some weekend and bank holiday duties.

The successful candidate will be part of a friendly, forward-thinking Radiology Appointments Team, handling bookings across ultrasound, CT, and MRI across multiple sites (Whiston and St Helens). We seek a highly motivated individual with excellent organisational and communication skills,

Responsibilities

• Booking appointments for radiology procedures (Ultrasound, CT, MRI etc.).
• Ensure patients are booked within diagnostic waiting times and coordinate across sites.

Job description

37 hours (1 X WTE Mon - Fri including weekend / Bank Holiday rota) Successful applicants will require a satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau. Would you like to be part of our very friendly, hard-working, and forward-thinking Radiology Appointments Team? If yes - we have a full-time vacancy in this area of the Radiology Department. The department provides a 7-day imaging service and therefore the post will include working across sites at both Whiston Hospital and St Helens Hospital's. Some evenings, weekends, and bank holiday duties on a rotational basis, are also included in the role., The successful candidate will work as part of a well-established team to ensure the smooth running of this extremely busy department, booking appointments for a wide range of radiology procedures including Ultrasound - both obstetric and general, CT, and MRI scans to name a few, ensuring patients are booked within the diagnostic waiting times.

Applicants should be very hard working, enthusiastic and well-motivated with excellent organisational and communication skills, be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines in a very fast-paced, ever-changing environment. An excellent telephone manner is a MUST, and a high level of computer literacy is essential.
