Job summary

Nuffield Health Cardiff & Vale Hospital is seeking a Radiology Administrator on a bank, part-time basis. You will be the face of Radiology, welcoming patients, coordinating appointments and supporting clinical staff across Cardiff Bay Clinic and Vale Hospital.

The role demands customer service excellence, strong IT skills and an understanding of data protection. Experience in healthcare administration or radiology reception is desirable, with shifts from 8am to 8pm to cover workload.

Qualifications

Great communication, organisational & analytical skills.
Knowledge of clinical terminology is desirable.
NVQ level 2 in business administration desirable.
Experience in healthcare administration or radiology reception is advantageous.
Good IT and keyboard skills are expected.

Responsibilities

Welcome patients in person and direct them to waiting areas.
Schedule radiology appointments and manage diaries, maintaining databases with data protection in mind.
Answer phone calls and handle general enquiries.
Prepare clinical paperwork, referral forms and charge sheets, plus terms and conditions.
Support clinical staff and assist with transferring images between hospitals.
Distribute imaging reports to referring clinicians.
