Job summary

Nuffield Health Cardiff & Vale Hospital is hiring a Radiology Administrator on a bank, part-time basis. The role covers front-of-house duties, patient liaison, appointment scheduling, and handling radiology processes across Cardiff Bay and Vale Hospital sites.

The role supports Radiographers, Radiologists and other departments, requiring excellent communication, empathy, and attention to detail to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging services.

Qualifications

• Great communication, organisational & analytical skills.
• Ability to explain sensitive or complicated information clearly and empathetically.
• Experience in Healthcare administration or Radiology reception is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients in person and direct them to waiting rooms.
• Build positive relationships with patients, staff and Consultants.
• Put people at ease when they visit the department.
• Schedule radiology appointments and manage diaries; maintain databases with data protection.
• Answer phones and handle enquiries.
• Prepare clinical paperwork, referral forms and charge sheets; communicate terms and conditions.
• Support clinical staff and assist with department workflow.
• Download and transfer images between hospitals.
• Distribute imaging reports to referring clinicians.
