Job summary

Nuffield Health Cardiff & Vale Hospital is seeking a Radiology Administrator on a bank contract (part-time). The role involves welcoming patients, scheduling imaging appointments, and maintaining clerical processes within the Radiology department, which covers General Radiography, Mammography, Ultrasound, MRI & CT.

The department operates 8am–8pm with varied shifts. The successful candidate will have strong communication and IT skills, and experience in healthcare administration or radiology

Qualifications

• Great communication, organisational & analytical skills.
• Ability to explain sensitive information clearly and sympathetically.
• Experience in Healthcare administration or Radiology reception preferred.
• NVQ level 2 in business administration desirable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients in person and direct them to waiting areas.
• Build positive relationships with patients, staff and Consultants.
• Schedule radiology appointments and maintain radiology diaries and databases.
• Answer phone calls, handle queries and enquiries.
• Prepare clinical paperwork, referral forms and charge sheets.
• Support clinical staff and transfer images between hospitals.
• Distribute imaging reports to referring clinicians.
