Job summary

Saab UK is seeking a UK-based Radar Instructor to support our sensor systems training portfolio. The role covers operator and maintainer courses, develops educational material, and contributes to technical publications.

You will work with customers to tailor training, travel within the UK and globally, and participate in demonstrations, trials and market growth activities. A background in radar or electronic systems and teaching experience is required, with security clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience of radar, communications or sophisticated electronic systems.
• Teaching or instructional experience.
• Previous military experience or exposure.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel within UK and globally (up to 3 weeks per training event).
• UK or Swedish citizenship due to security clearance.
• National Security Vetting clearance to SC level or ability to gain it.
• Qualified to ONC/HNC level or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver operator and maintainer courses on sensor systems.
• Administration and reporting of training events.
• Operate and fault-find on customer sensor systems.
• Solicit, compile, analyse and react to student feedback.
• Offer subject matter expert advice on system and software development.
• Provide feedback and input into sensor technical publications.
• Provide support to demonstrations, trials, exercises and other market growth activities.
