Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to radar software for the Typhoon programme in Edinburgh. You will work in a small team, develop in Ada, C++, and Python, and document your work under configuration management.

The role is onsite with a strong emphasis on delivering robust, well-documented code. You will collaborate with systems, integration and test teams, report progress to the software lead, and help advance the project with rigorous problem-solving and quality

Qualifications

• Experience with the full Software Development Lifecycle.
• Willingness to work within a small multi-disciplined Integrated Project Team.
• Knowledge of source control/configuration tools such as Git or Bitbucket.

Responsibilities

• Develop software across the full lifecycle for a complex radar system.
• Collaborate with software, systems and integration teams to resolve issues.
• Produce high-quality, documented code and progress reports to the lead.
