Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd in Edinburgh is recruiting an experienced Antenna/Electromagnetic Engineer to join a team of 15 engineers. You will design, simulate and test advanced phased array antennas for radar applications and contribute to all lifecycle stages of development.

The role requires on-site presence in Edinburgh and offers formal and on-the-job training, with opportunities to advance in a world-class defence technology environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM subject (Physics, Math, Electronic/Electrical Eng, System Eng, or similar).
• Experience in Electromagnetics: Antenna design/modelling/measurement, CEM, RF design, Microwave engineering, LO/Stealth tech.
• Strong numerical problem-solving and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to or lead R&D projects for design, simulation and measurement improvements.
• Develop new or advance phased array antenna designs from concept to integration and testing.
• Use EM tools to analyze and optimize sensor installations on stealth vehicles.
• Support antenna measurement campaigns to validate models and designs.
• Provide technical assessment and modelling to ensure system performance.
• Collaborate with test engineers to define procedures and produce reports and analyses.
