Job summary

YTL UK is seeking a Repair and Maintenance (R&M) Supply Operator to join the Network Utilities team. You will perform repairs and maintenance on the water supply network to serve 1.4 million customers, including excavations, repairing leaks, and making new connections, all while upholding quality and customer service standards.

Job description

Do you enjoy working outdoors and being part of a team? If so, we have a great opportunity for you as a Repair and Maintenance (R&M) Supply Operator.

What you'll do

As one of our R&M Supply Operators, you will be working in the Network Utilities team, which provides a vital service that helps to ensure we supply water to 1.4 million customers.

Dealing with different challenges every day, you'll carry out a variety of repairs and maintenance to the water supply distribution network while ensuring the work meets quality and customer service standards.

This may include excavating and repairing burst water mains and leaks, as well as making new connections, in addition to landscaping and general building works.

You will work outdoors and will operate as part of a two-person team.

What you'll need

This role will be based in Dorchester, so it is best suited to candidates living in the surrounding area, butconsideration will be given to those living further away.

Ideally, you will:

• have a positive and can-do attitude
• be well-organised, customer-focused and a great team player
• have experience in excavation using hand tools, installing new services and meters, pipe-laying and/or general building
• have a current Streetworks ticket and a Health and Safety certificate, although full training can be given if not
• have a valid UK driving licence.

For this role, you will need to take a flexible approach to working hours and out-of-hours working.
