Job summary

YTL UK is recruiting a Water Recycling Operator to cover the Yeovil area. Based in Yeovil, you will operate and maintain sewage treatment plants and pumping stations, ensuring quality standards are met.

You will run advanced wastewater and sludge processes, comply with company policies, and uphold health and safety. The role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends and will suit those who thrive in outdoor, industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Experience working unsupervised in an industrial or process plant.
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, maths, and a technical subject.
• Happy working outside in all conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain conventional sewage treatment plants and pumping stations to required standards.
• Run advanced wastewater treatment and sludge processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, processes and procedures.
• Maintain health, safety and welfare of colleagues and the public at all times.
• Work outside of normal hours, including evenings and weekends.

Do you enjoy working outdoors and have a resilience to adverse weather conditions? Are you able to deal with challenging situations and physical work? Do you have excellent decision making, reporting and communication skills? If so, our Western Water Recycling team is looking for a Water Recycling Operator to cover the Yeovil area.

What you'll do

Based in Yeovil, your rolewill involve:

• the operation and maintenance of conventional sewage treatment plants and pumping stations to meet quality standards
• running advanced wastewater treatment and sludge process plants
• ensuring compliance with company policy, processes, and procedures
• ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all colleagues, the public and yourself at all times
• working outside of normal working hours, including evenings and weekends.

What you'll need

You will need experience working unsupervised in an industrial or process plant is also essential. Electrical or mechanical experience would be desirable. Confined spaces training will be provided.

You will also need:

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, maths, and a technical subject
• to be happy working outside in all condition
• a valid driving licence, ideally with category BE
• to be flexible in your approach to work.
