Job summary

YTL UK is seeking a Repair and Maintenance Supply Operator to join the Network Utilities team. You will work outdoors on the water supply distribution network, carrying out repairs, excavations, and new connections in a two-person crew to meet quality and service standards.

The role is based in the Yeovil or Taunton area with flexibility for surrounding locations. A valid UK driving licence and safety tickets are required, with full training offered where needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in excavation using hand tools or similar.
• Have either a Streetworks ticket or Health & Safety certificate (training possible).
• Must have a valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs and maintenance on water supply distribution network.
• Work in two-person teams to repair burst mains and leaks.
• Install new services and meters, lay pipes, and perform general building tasks.

Do you enjoy working outdoors and being part of a team? If so, we have a great opportunity for you as a Repair and Maintenance (R&M) Supply Operator.

What you'll do

As one of our R&M Supply Operators, you will be working in the Network Utilities team, which provides a vital service that helps to ensure we supply water to 1.4 million customers.

Dealing with different challenges every day, you'll carry out a variety of repairs and maintenance to the water supply distribution network while ensuring the work meets quality and customer service standards.

This may include excavating and repairing burst water mains and leaks, as well as making new connections, in addition to landscaping and general building works.

You will work outdoors and will operate as part of a two-person team.

What you'll need

This role can be based in Yeovil or Taunton , so it is best suited to candidates living in the surrounding area, but consideration will be given to those living further away.

Ideally, you will:

• have a positive and can-do attitude
• be well-organised, customer-focused and a great team player
• have experience in excavation using hand tools, installing new services and meters, pipe-laying and/or general building
• have a current Streetworks ticket and a Health and Safety certificate, although full training can be given if not
• have a valid UK driving licence.

For this role, you will need to take a flexible approach to working hours and out-of-hours working.
