Job summary

YTL UK is seeking a Water Recycling Operator based in Saltford to operate and maintain wastewater treatment and pumping facilities across Saltford and surrounding areas. The role requires working outside in all weather, with emphasis on safety and reliability to meet quality standards.

You will need unsupervised plant experience, technical or mechanical know-how, and training for confined spaces will be provided. A valid driving licence is preferred; BE category advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience working unsupervised in an industrial or process plant.
• Electrical or mechanical experience desirable.
• Confined spaces training will be provided.
• Happy working outside in all conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain conventional sewage treatment plants and pumping stations to meet quality standards.
• Run advanced wastewater treatment and sludge process plants.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, processes and procedures.
• Ensure health, safety, and welfare of colleagues, the public and yourself at all times.
• Work outside of normal hours, including evenings and weekends.

Do you have excellent decision making, reporting and communication skills? If so, our Water Recycling team is looking for a Water Recycling Operator to cover Saltford and surrounding areas.

What you'll do

Based in Saltford, your rolewill involve:

• the operation and maintenance of conventional sewage treatment plants and pumping stations to meet quality standards
• running advanced wastewater treatment and sludge process plants
• ensuring compliance with company policy, processes, and procedures
• ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all colleagues, the public and yourself at all times
• working outside of normal working hours, including evenings and weekends.

What you'll need

You will need experience working unsupervised in an industrial or process plant is also essential. Electrical or mechanical experience would be desirable. Confined spaces training will be provided.

You will also need:

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, maths, and a technical subject
• to be happy working outside in all condition
• a valid driving licence, ideally with category BE
• to be flexible in your approach to work.
