Job summary

Origen Carbon is seeking an R&D Manager to lead the research and development roadmap from concept to pilot-scale validation. You will manage a small, expert team and report to the VP Technology, shaping priorities and ensuring alignment with business goals.

You will plan budgets, drive experiments, and collaborate with universities and partners to advance zero-emission lime technology and its commercial roadmap.

Qualifications

• Experience leading applied R&D programmes, turning concepts into built, tested or scaled outcomes.
• Ability to connect day-to-day research to business needs and market goals.
• Experience managing a small, high-skill team and coordinating with VP Technology.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day delivery of the R&D and innovation roadmap.
• Turn technology direction into concrete workstreams, experiments and milestones.
• Lead applied R&D from concept to pilot-scale validation.
• Manage and develop a small team, including specialists.
• Plan R&D budget and resourcing with VP Technology and Finance.
• Support CFD and systems modelling for new product development.
• Feed IP considerations into the patent pipeline.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to align research with business needs.
• Build relationships with universities and research partners.
