Nu Quantum, based in Cambridge, is seeking a Software Engineer to build tools used by scientists to develop and test quantum networking solutions. You’ll develop firmware for embedded systems, UI components, and automation for experiments.

You will work in an agile software team, collaborating with Scientists and Engineers to define requirements, maintain, test, and deliver high-quality software solutions.

Formación

• Experience with a compiled language such as Rust or C++.
• Knowledge of embedded systems like microcontrollers, SOCs or FPGA soft cores.
• Proficiency with Python scripting for tooling and automation.
• Experience with standard development practices: VCS, CI, unit/integration tests, hardware-in-the-loop.
• Strong communication and teamwork across disciplines.

Responsabilidades

• Develop software interfacing with optics, electronics and hardware.
• Work with FPGA and electronics to enable network control systems.
• Create user interfaces for product demonstrators and measurement control.
• Propose improvements to workflows and system design.
• Write high-quality, testable, maintainable code.
