Job summary

Nu Quantum Ltd. is seeking a Software Engineer to develop tools for scientists, including control interfaces and GUI for prototype products. You will work in an agile software team delivering high-quality software for internal lab use and automated experiments.

The role focuses on firmware for embedded systems, GUI development, and automation of scientific experiments, collaborating closely with Scientists and Engineers to define requirements and ensure robust delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience developing with compiled languages such as Rust or C++.
• Knowledge of embedded systems including microcontrollers, SOCs or FPGA soft cores.
• Proficiency with Python and scripting.
• Familiarity with CI, unit testing, integration testing and hardware-in-the-loop testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop software to interface with optics, electronics and hardware.
• Collaborate with FPGA and electronics teams to enable state-of-the-art quantum networks control systems.
• Create user interfaces for product demonstrators and measurement control.
• Propose and implement improvements to workflows and system design.
• Write high-quality, testable, maintainable code.
