Job summary

Infleqtion seeks a Quantum Error Correction Specialist to design, analyse, and implement fault-tolerant architectures for scalable quantum computation. You will develop error-correcting codes, decoding algorithms, and fault-tolerant gate constructions tailored to our hardware, translating theory into experimental protocols.

You will work with hardware, control, and compiler teams to model noise, optimize syndrome extraction, and define logical performance metrics guiding system design.

Qualifications

• PhD in a field closely related to quantum information science.
• 2+ years of postdoctoral experience in QEC is highly preferred.
• Experience tailoring error-correcting codes for quantum devices and bridging theory to experiment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue research advancing QEC theory and implementation in experimental devices.
• Develop and optimize QEC protocols for neutral-atom gate-based quantum computers.
• Use mathematical models and simulations to analyze QEC performance.
• Develop and implement custom QEC decoders.
• Collaborate with experimentalists and software engineers to bridge theory and practice.
