You will design experiments and estimate resources for large-scale applications, guiding hardware and software control to optimise error correction now and in the future. The role requires a PhD (or equivalent) and 5+ years of relevant experience, with strong publication records and communication skills.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years (degree-inclusive) experience involving quantum error correction development and research.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with published research results.
• Strong organisational skills and experience working and negotiating with customers and partners.

Responsibilities

• Simulate and design experiments to characterise error correction protocols.
• Tailor quantum error correction protocols to hardware strengths.
• Design experiments to characterise noise profiles of physical qubits.
• Perform resource estimation for large-scale applications via error correction.
• Advise on hardware choices and software control to optimise performance.
