Job summary

Skilled Careers is partnering with a well-established contractor to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor in Stratford-upon-Avon. You will oversee commercial performance on a programme of refurbishment projects worth £1m–£15m.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will manage CVRs, valuations and monthly invoicing while supporting junior team members, with a focus on profitability and contract compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in quantity surveying and managing commercial aspects of construction projects.
• Strong cost control and financial reporting skills.
• Experience with valuations, CVRs and monthly invoicing.
• Excellent Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial performance of projects from start to finish.
• Ensure full commercial entitlement is secured under the contract.
• Monitor costs, revenue, margins and overall performance.
• Prepare and manage CVRs, CVCs and management accounts.
• Manage valuations, applications and monthly invoicing.
• Monitor cash flow and resolve commercial queries.
• Manage subcontractors and supply chain partners.
• Collaborate with Operations and Finance on performance.
• Analyze management information and project costs.
• Support robust budget and cost control.
• Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
