Job summary

Think Recruitment in Coventry is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a busy commercial team delivering social housing refurbishment works across Coventry.

You will take a lead role controlling costs, procurement, valuations and final accounts, coordinating with operations, clients and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Prior Housing refurbishment experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
• Experience in refurbishment, housing, or residential projects.
• Strong understanding of contracts and procurement.
• Experience producing cost reports and forecasts.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of commercial management across multiple refurbishment projects.
• Monitor costs, budgets, expenditure and financial performance.
• Prepare valuations and applications for payment.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, payments, valuations and final accounts.
• Identify, price and manage variations and additional works.
• Review contractual documents for compliance.
• Support procurement activities and negotiate for best value.
• Prepare cost reports and commercial forecasts for senior management.
• Monitor cash flow and working capital.
• Lead final accounts and maintain audit trails.
