Job summary

Mitchell Maguire are seeking a Quantity Surveyor – Main Contractor to manage commercial aspects across residential conversion projects in the South East, South West and London regions. The role covers cost control, procurement support, and client liaison from our Maidenhead office.

The ideal candidate will have proven Quantity Surveying experience in construction, with residential/refurbishment exposure and knowledge of permitted development.

Qualifications

• Must have Quantity Surveying experience in construction.
• Residential or refurbishment experience preferred.
• Experience with Permitted Development is advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident and articulate in discussions with clients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Quantity Surveyor position dealing with various permitted development residential conversion projects
• Manage the commercial and financial aspects of multiple construction projects, ensuring costs are controlled and budgets are maintained.
• Prepare cost estimates, valuations, financial reports, variations, and final accounts.
• Support procurement activities, including tender analysis, subcontractor appointments, and contract administration.
• Carry out regular site visits, monitor project progress, and identify commercial risks and cost-saving opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
