Job summary

Balfour Beatty Power T&D is expanding its Commercial team in Scotland and seeks Quantity Surveyors for the Beauly, Blackhillock, New Deer and Peterhead 400kV Overhead Line Project. Roles are flexible: based in Glasgow, Inverness or Elgin with hybrid working and travel to site.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
• CSCS Academically/Professionally Qualified Person Card.
• MRICS, MCIOB, MCInstCES, or working towards professional membership.

Responsibilities

• Managing costs and income within your area of responsibility.
• Producing cost reconciliations and commercial reports.
• Measuring, recording and valuing work in line with company procedures.
• Building estimates from first principles.
• Interpreting drawings, specifications and works information.
• Supporting customer and stakeholder management activities.
• Understanding and monitoring project programmes and commercial performance.

Education

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience

CSCS Academically/Professionally Qualified Person Card

MRICS MCIOB MCInstCES or working towards professional membership
