Job summary

Murphy is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to join the Ground Engineering division, supporting the Lower Thames Crossing, from our JV office in Tillbury. You will work in a design-led environment, handling NEC4 PSC/ECS options and internal recharging mechanisms to ensure accurate cost management.

Key duties include pre-contract pricing, cost reporting, forecasting, and collaboration with finance and discipline leads to sustain forecast accuracy.

Qualifications

• Experience working with NEC3/4 contracts and PSC/ECS options.
• Strong commercial awareness in a multidisciplinary design environment.
• Proven ability to manage cost recovery and cost controls.
• Experience with internal cost recharge models and consultancy frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Confident working in a design-led environment and with NEC4 contracts.
• Support pre-contract commercial engagement and pricing of design packages.
• Manage commercial performance across projects and monitor cost, value and change.
• Collaborate with discipline leads, planners and finance to maintain cost forecast accuracy.
• Assist in cost recovery processes and cost-to-complete tracking.
