Job summary

Bouygues Construction SA is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor for the Lower Thames Crossing project in Tilbury. The role combines commercial management, cost control and contract administration in an on-site team environment.

You will handle valuations, budgets, forecasts and subcontract management, collaborating with engineers and project controls to ensure robust financial performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in quantity surveying or related field with professional membership or progress.
• Experience on major infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
• Strong cost control, contract and commercial reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Support commercial management of LTC work packages and provide QS and contractual support.
• Prepare cost plans, budgets, forecasts and cost reports for financial control.
• Manage valuations, applications for payment and commercial assessments.
• Monitor package performance and identify commercial risks.
• Ensure activities align with budgets and programme objectives.
• Assist with subcontract procurement, tender analysis and award recommendations.
• Administer contracts including variations, compensation events and change management.
• Support changes, final accounts and commercial close-out activities.
• Build relationships with clients, subcontractors and project teams.
• Produce monthly reporting and forecasts in line with project controls.
