Job summary

KAEFER UK & Ireland is hiring at Middlesbrough for a Quantity Surveyor role focused on cost control, valuations, and contract administration within the E&I sector. You will measure progressed works, report progress and contract position, and maintain cost accruals to support month-end performance reviews.

The successful candidate will have a Quantity Surveying qualification and strong knowledge of P&L, budgeting, and contract costing, with experience in valuations and claims for clients and

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of divisional P&L finance, budgeting and contracts costing, as well as Contract and Construction Law/Legislation.
  • Strategic thinking with strong analytical skills, with strong written and verbal communications.
  • Experience in E&I Sector
  • Experience of cost / value reconciliation.
  • Contract experience, preparing valuations and claims for clients and subcontracting.
  • Qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar

Responsibilities

  • Site measurement of progressed works
  • Accurate reporting of progress and contract position
  • Maintaining accurate cost accruals
  • Production of estimates and pricing work
  • Preparation, submission and agreement of valuations
  • Maintaining accurate WIP accruals
  • Managing Sub-Contractor accounts
  • Timely capture and agreement of contract variations with customers
  • Preparation of accurate Cost vs Revenue reports as part of the month end process
