The Company

A dynamic Main Contractor renowned for delivering high-quality projects for a diverse portfolio of blue-chip clients. Their excellent reputation has enabled expansion into various markets, including Civil Engineering & Infrastructure, Residential, Commercial, and Retail, with project sizes ranging from 20m to 100m.

This role is within the Civils division, which specializes in Civil and Infrastructure projects such as earthworks, section 278 works, and rail freight.

The Role

The position involves either joining the commercial team on a large civils project or taking responsibility for a smaller project, focusing on the financial and commercial aspects of the site. Typical responsibilities include:

• Issuing and managing sub-contract tender packages.
• Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Reviewing contract documents.
• Maintaining relationships with an established supply chain.
• Participating in commercial review meetings.
• Assisting with client valuation submissions and managing variation accounts.
• Managing subcontract accounts from procurement to final settlement.
• Preparing and evaluating claims for variation works.
