Job summary

Sizewell C Company is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the Civil Works Alliance (CWA) Commercial team. You will support cost management, valuations, procurement and reporting for the Sizewell C project, ensuring delivery within budget and governance frameworks.

Applicants should have a Quantity Surveying degree, strong analytical skills and experience in civil engineering or infrastructure. The role involves close collaboration with project teams, subcontractors and stakeholders

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
• Experience in construction, civil engineering or infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of standard forms of contract, including NEC
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Experience managing costs, valuations, variations and reporting
• Membership of, or working towards membership of, RICS, CIOB or similar body is desirable

Responsibilities

• Managing subcontractor accounts and commercial administration
• Preparing and assessing valuations, variations and compensation events
• Supporting procurement activities and tender evaluations
• Monitoring project costs, forecasts and commercial performance
• Assisting with the preparation of financial reports and cost reconciliations
• Supporting contract management in line with project procedures and governance
• Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
• Building strong relationships with internal teams, clients and suppliers
