Job summary

Sizewell C Company, through the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), invites applications for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial activities across major civil engineering works on a nationally significant programme. Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
• Membership of RICS, CIOB, ICES, or working towards accreditation.
• Extensive civil engineering/infrastructure experience in energy, utilities, rail, or highways.
• Strong contract administration, procurement, and commercial management knowledge.
• Experience managing variations, claims, and commercial risk.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience mentoring or leading commercial teams.

Responsibilities

• Managing commercial and contractual aspects of major civil engineering works.
• Reviewing and negotiating subcontract packages, variations, compensation events, and claims.
• Monitoring commercial performance and reporting to senior stakeholders.
• Supporting procurement strategies and tender evaluations.
• Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
• Producing cost forecasts, financial reconciliations, and commercial reports.
• Building strong relationships with clients, partners, and supply chain stakeholders.
• Leading, mentoring, and developing junior commercial team members.
