Job summary

EDF, Sizewell C project, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join VolkerStevin on site at Sizewell. You will lead commercial activities, cost control, and subcontractor engagement to maximise profitability on a high-profile civil engineering programme.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will mentor junior surveyors, manage payments and contractual obligations, and ensure commercial governance across the works. An accredited QS qualification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Accredited professional qualification (RICS/CIOB/ICES) or degree with numerical/technical emphasis.
• HND in building/construction or related fields.
• Desirable: a degree in QS with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead project cost control, forecasting, reporting, and cash flow management.
• Procurement management and subcontractor engagement to maximize profitability.
• Administer subcontract accounts, payments, and contractual obligations.
• Provide commercial leadership and mentoring across the project team.
