Job summary

Tilbury Douglas is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Building team in Stockton-on-Tees, supporting the commercial delivery of projects across the North East. You will take ownership of key commercial activities, working with senior staff to protect margins and ensure accurate cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in a main contractor environment.
• Understanding of measurement, valuation and standard forms of contract.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support the commercial management of projects, including cost control, forecasting and reporting.
• Assist in procurement and administration of subcontractor packages.
• Manage valuations, variations and applications for payment.
• Contribute to monthly cost/value reconciliation and financial reporting.
• Work with operational teams to deliver projects and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
