Job summary

Houses of Parliament Restoration & Renewal invites applications for a Quantity Surveyor Apprentice on the Lords Temporary Accommodation project. This fixed-term 21-month role offers hands-on experience while studying towards a recognised Quantity Surveying qualification and working with experienced commercial and project professionals.

You will assist with cost planning, procurement, contract administration and reporting, learn measurement from drawings, and attend project and site meetings.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship pathway into Quantity Surveying, studying towards a recognised qualification.
• Hands-on experience across commercial activities and project governance.
• Collaborate with project managers, consultants and suppliers on cost control and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support cost planning, estimating, forecasting and budget monitoring.
• Assist with procurement activities, tender documentation and supplier engagement.
• Support contract administration, change control and commercial reporting.
• Measure and quantify works from drawings, specs and project information.
• Contribute to risk and opportunity management; attend project, commercial and site meetings.
• Produce reports, presentations and commercial documentation.
• Work with project teams and suppliers to support delivery.
