Job summary

Restoration and Renewal is seeking a Quantity Surveyor Apprentice to join the Lords Temporary Accommodation (LTA) Project Team on the Houses of Parliament Restoration & Renewal Programme. This role offers a unique opportunity to begin a career in Quantity Surveying while studying towards a recognised QS qualification.

You will learn from experienced professionals, help manage costs, support procurement and contracts, and contribute to financial reporting as the project progresses through design

Qualifications

• Applicants must not already hold a quantity surveying qualification at or above Level 4.
• Total duration of 21-month fixed-term apprenticeship.
• Sessions are completed remotely with one day per week study.
• Open to all backgrounds; enthusiastic and curious.

Responsibilities

• Support cost planning, estimating, forecasting and budget monitoring.
• Assist with procurement activities, tender docs and supplier engagement.
• Support contract administration, change control and reporting.
• Measure quantities from drawings and specifications.
• Participate in risk and opportunity management.
• Attend project, commercial and site meetings.
• Produce reports and commercial documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
